Dear class,Happy Catholic Schools Week! The theme this week is "Catholic Schools Celebrate Service." Here is a picture of children cleaning their school in El Salvador. This is one example of showing service. How can you show service this week? What are some special things you can do to give back to your family, community or the world? How I can show service this week is by helping people like praying for the homeless or the needy or people who are sick.I could also write a letter to someone whose life is full of sadness. by Celia

I can help my family by making my bed,cleaning my room,so I can hopefully get money so I can donate that money to El Salvedor.I hope that we can all help earn more money for El Salvedor.

I can show service this Catholic Schools Week by giving some of my favorite books to Childhaven. I think those children deserve good books to read. I can also show service by helping my family with extra chores and working harder with my daily ones.
Some special things I can do are to give a little more of my money to the church to help the poor. We can all put more money in our class "piggy bank" to go to El Salvador, too. We can put some of our old, but still good clothing in places like Salvation Army or Good Will. You can also recycle papers and bottles and conserve energy by turning of lights and other things that require electricity. There are many other ways of showing service to our family, community and world. These are only some of them.

Some way I can show service is by riding my bike and walking more. Turning of the lights to save energe. You can also pick up trash to clean up your community;)

A way I can show service this week is to save my slightly used books, clothes, and toys then share these to the poor children in the Philippines and to Childhaven. When I had my birthday celebration the other Sunday, I asked my friends to donate books to a school library in the Philippines instead of giving me gifts. My Mom and I will send these to them because they do not have books to read.
Also this week, I will not eat at restaurants like McDonald's so I can save money to help my cousins in the Philippines go to college.
Another way to show service is to help the abused and neglected animals by donating food, beds and other things animals need. I can save some coins to buy these things and donate them to Purrfect Pals Animal Shelter (This is where my cat Pusa was adopted). I can also leave water and food on my deck for the birds around my neighborhood.
One other GREAT thing to show service is to study REAL good so I can finish a college degree. I will do my very best in school to learn and get good grades. If I have good education I'll be more capable to help others who are in need. I can share my knowledge and talents to them.

I service my because clean my room and I help my mom or dad cook dinner and I clean the lawft and I help my mom pull weads and clean up dog po and it is not fun cleaning up and sometimes I helped my sister make her bed and it is fun because when we are done I jump on her bed and roll and it's fun to do that and I help sweap the foor and I sometimes I pick food with my hand befor the dogs eat it a specialy chocolate cuse they could die and I don't what that to happen and I clean the bathroom with my mom and I clean the mirrow with my mom and I help my mom and dad make their bed and I do the samething as my sisters bed.

I can help my great grandma by carrying her grocries into her house for her. I could also visit her more often. Another way I could help is set a good example for my sister to follow.

Another way to show service this week is to help by donating some books to the book drive at school.
To buy books at the bookfair to help support the school library and classrooms. I could try to get along better with my sisters and be nicer to my parents.

This week I can show service by helping my friends and by doing kind things for them. One thing I would give back to my family is be nice to them. I could give back to my church community my prayers for everybody that needs prayer. One thing that I could give back to the world is picking up trash. It would be good because you are helping the earth.

To show service this week I will go around Burien and do a MAJOR cleaning job. At my house I will take shorter showers and help keep my house clean. Here are some things I would do for the world:
1.Try not to use so much energy.
2.Pick up any garbage I see where I am walking (and bring a small garbage bag)

A couple of ways I can get back to my family are feeding my dog, doing my homework, putting away groceries, and making my bed every morning. A couple ways I can give to my community are not littering, picking up trash, being nice to other people, and using less electricity by turning off my electronics when I am not using them.
