These are just some examples. You can also make up your own kind of poem. Remember, poetry can be silly or serious. Poetry is not too worried about punctuation or complete sentences. Make up your own poem here on our blog by Friday, February 6th. This will be worth 2 extra credit points for your English grade.

Here's my poem. It's a haiku poem. That means it has 5 syllables in the first line, 7 syllables in the second line and then 5 syllables in the third line. I chose the topic of February.
