Dear class,
On Wednesday, April 22nd, we will celebrate Earth Day. This is a great opportunity to remind ourselves how we can take care of our planet. Describe at least one way you are going to preserve the beauty of our world in a special way this week. Thoughtful answers written by Friday, April 24th, will receive 2 extra credit points for their social studies grade.

To preserve the beauty of the world this week, I am going to pull out weeds in my garden. I will search my whole garden for weeds(I'll look extra carefully in the spots that usually have them). I am going to pull the roots out, too. I will be gentle with the new sprouts and I will not pull them out. If I find bugs I won't step on them or do any other thing to hurt them.
When I'm finished pulling the weeds, I'll plant new seeds in pots and my garden. I won't poke the buds or pick them off. I am going to check that they are firmly in the ground once I have planted them.

For Earth Day(not just Earth Day) I would like to: recycle more,not litter,and also remember that the world is wonderfulk and should not have litter and more people should care about it! I love our world! P.S. Its lunch so sorry I have to go! Sorry!!!! From,

To help preserve the beauty of the world, I am going to clean out our yard, which means, pulling weeds, planting flowers etc. I would also like to ask my mom if we could plant a vegetable garden so we wouldn't have to waste gas going to the store for it.
Another way to help the earth is for me to try to plant a tree somewhere in Burien, my neighborhood, or my yard.
I also want to try to clean up the street I live on because I have been seeing alot of trash in the ditches on my street.
That is my goal for Earth Day.

One way to preserve the beauty of the Earth this week is by weeding out the garden so the plants will grow better and they will give us more air and the air won't get polluted. I will also help by not using many plates when I eat so I won't be using too much water. I will avoid using the lights, the computer and only watch TV for a limited time each day. My parents and I will walk to the bank if it's not raining and use the bus if we're going to downtown so we can save gas. If I see garbage anywhere I will pick it up and put it in the garbage can.

To keep our world clean I'm going to try to:
1.recycle.
2.not litter.
3.pick up trash.
4.conserve energy that means turn off lights, computers,T.V. and etc.
5.be respectful to nature.
6.be responsible for your actions, like make sure leve the trees alone.
7.insted of cars use bikes.
8. leve all animals alone.
9. have fun doing it.

Ok, so you heard my list now let me tell you about it.You should help the eneironment or elese it could end up looking like a junk yard.That is why we should all make a class goal for Earth Day.Your goal could be anything to help the eneironment.There is plenty of ways all 29 of can help the earth,and once you have accomplished your goal you will have a great feeling in side you.

One way I can take care of the earth is by picking up litter around the roads and recycling sodapop cans, soup cans and newspapers. If you think it's ok to litter, then you're wrong! If you follow all of those ways to keep the environment clean, then you are helping to keep the environment growing strong.

For Earth Day I will continue to help my mom recycle the stuff we don't use. We also support local farmers by shopping at local farmer markets. My mom thinks the food is better and not as expensive. Colten

For Earth Day, I will pick trash and throw it away where it belongs, try to take shorter showers to save water, and turn off the lights to save electricity.
I will do this not only for Earth Day but as often as possible.

A way I can help the planet is to turn the lights off for one minute and that saves a lot of energy.You would think that wouldn't help a lot but it does.I can also recycle.That is how I can help the world.LOVE ADAM!
For Earth day I will recycle.If you recycle our earth will be healthy.Another thing I can do for Earth day is pick up litter.When you pick up litter it allso helps the earth.
