Dear class,
Every year, women around the world are recognized on March 8th for "International Women's Day." In Italy, little yellow flowers (called mimosa) are given out on many street corners to women as a way to say thank you. For this week's blog, think of a woman who has touched your life. This can be your mom, grandma, neighbor, etc. Write about how this woman has stood out to you. Thoughtful responses written by Friday, March 6th, will receive 2 extra credit points for their English grade. Remember to check your work for mistakes.

A woman that has touched my life is my mom. She has helped me with alot of things that I wouldn't be doing this year like, choir,soccer etc. My mom is always encouraging me to try new things and when I start something new she is always there for me. My mom is special because she tends to me when I am sad or when I just need some cheering up, she always puts a smile on my face. (Plus she is looking over my shoulder right now!)That is who I think has touched my life.

My Mom has stood out to me by being a helpful person. She always helps me in my school work, my problems and how to become a good girl like being neat and clean, God loving, etc. I learned how to do chores at home through her help. When I do my homework she reviews it and makes sure it makes sense. She always look at the papers in my brown envelope with me. If I get a low grade on something, she teaches me more about it. She's very helpful to our relatives and friends too. They come to her and she listens to their problems then, she offers whatever she can.
My Mom is very special to me because she is very responsible and organized. She picks me up from school after she comes from work. She makes sure we have all the things we need at home. On the weekends, we go buy food and groceries we need.
My Mom always listens to my problems and tries her best to make me feel better. One way that she helps me feel better is by talking to me about the problem and then telling me things that I'm good at like karate. She helps me think of good things not bad things.
My Mom makes me feel happy when I'm sad. She plays jokes on me and I play jokes on her. I like to hide her cellphone when it's not with her.
My Mom is my role model!!!! I admire her so much and she's my hero!

A woman that has touched my life is my mom.The reason I am writing about her is because she is very special to me and she has helped me with alot of things like sports, homework etc. She is very kind genorous and plans a lot of fun things for my family like our trip to North Dakota and South Dakota this summer.She always cheers me up when I'm feeling down. The woman who has touched my life is my grandma, we call her Hamma, and she is my Godmother. This is why I chose her. She makes my life Christian. She makes the light of my way. She makes me eat heathy food sometimes. For my birthday she gave me the Wii. She is a great Godmother. I think she is the greatest Grandmother that a boy can have.

The woman that has touch my life ever since I opened my eyes is my mom. She does many wonderful and helpful things in my life. Some of the things that are very special that she does are: Ever since I started kindergarden, she has written me cute notes with math problems on them in my lunchbox. She also checks my homework and gives me all the tips and advice she can. Each day, she makes my lunch and a delicious dinner and usually a hot breakfast. My mom will also play very fun games with me, and she does my hair every single day! Do you think she is a special women? I do!

A women who has touched my life is my mom's mom Popo(Popo is Chinese for grandma).She lives in Hawaii. I love it when my family goes to Hawaii, because we get to see them.She was the one who bought me my cross for First Communion.

My Mom has helped me with my life responsibilities.She touched my life by teaching all sorts of stuff and helping me.My mom stands out to me because she is so helpful, loving, and caring.She also stands out to me by making me eat all my vegetibles and caring for my health.I love my mom she wathes out for me and cares about everything and last but not least she loves me.
